'Data Protection and Competition Law': The book examines the overlaps between antitrust law and data protection concerns. The focus is on the Facebook proceedings of the German Federal Cartel Office, which considers data protection violations to be prosecutable by means of antitrust law. It is difficult to draw the line between the two areas of law. Fabian Uebele examines their interplay and shows synergies between the two areas of law. He thus makes a contribution to the law on the regulation of online platforms.

Fabian Uebele studierte von 2009 bis 2014 Rechtswissenschaften in Tübingen. Nach dem ersten juristischen Examen absolvierte er den juristischen Vorbereitungsdienst im OLG-Bezirk Karlsruhe. Das zweite juristische Staatsexamen schloss er 2016 ab. Von 2015 bis 2020 war er als Akademischer Mitarbeiter am Lehrstuhl für Bürgerliches Recht, Handels- und Kartellrecht der Universität Mannheim bei seinem Doktorvater Prof. Dr. Jens-Uwe Franck, LL.M. (Yale), tätig. Im Herbst 2021 erfolgte die Promotion. Seit Juni 2020 ist Fabian Uebele als Rechtsanwalt in internationalen Wirtschaftskanzleien tätig, zunächst in Frankfurt und zuletzt bei Sullivan & Cromwell in London.
