Kino wie noch nie versammelt Analyse- und Kunstpraktiken, die das Kino weiterdenken und dazu beitragen, Film anders zu verstehen. Filmbilder sind dabei in einer Weise bearbeitet oder in eine andere Ordnung überführt, dass sie über sich und ihresgleichen Auskunft geben. Ebenso werden Archetypen und wiederkehrende Muster der Filmgeschichte thematisiert, sowie Determinanten und Wahrnehmungsbedingungen des Kinos untersucht. Die Publikation ergänzt die gleichnamige Ausstellung durch kulturhistorische, philosophische und filmwissenschaftliche Beiträge. / Cinema like never before compiles artistic and analytical practices from that expand thought on cinema and contribute to understanding film differently. For this, film images are processed in a certain way or arranged differently allowing them to offer information about themselves and others like them. The exhibition thematizes archetypes and recurring patterns in film history and examines the determinants and perception conditions of cinema. The present publication adds to the exhibition with contributions from cultural history, philosophy, and film theory.
